Science Fiction Horror Short StoryIn July 2017, writer Chuck Wendig asked for flash fiction pieces titled Invasive on his blog, a little exercize of inspiration he liked to do at the time.
Now, there's all kinds of things that can be invasive — aliens, medical procedures, countries, and so on. I went for the medical route, but instead of a procedure being invasive, I used the prompt to create a really creepy parasite. And I decided to make its origins as disturbing as the creature itself.
In 2019, I recorded the story andmade it into one of the first stories to be made into a Youtube video to read along.
